1. Neltner's Farm & Event Venue

Established in 1892, Neltner's Farm & Event Venue has held a stake within the community and continues to make a positive impact today. Having maintained business for over six generations, this farm was founded by Joseph Neltner, the son of a German immigrant who settled in the valley of Camp Springs, Kentucky. The space hosts hundreds of events each year, including weddings, family reunions, baby showers, and their annual Fall Fest! Fresh produce is their staple, and folks from all over the tri-state area come to see what's in season. Some community favorites include yellow squash, bell peppers, green beans, potatoes, cantaloupe, and watermelon. You can even purchase Claire’s Kitchen canned goods such as jam, salsa, pickles, and jelly with recipes that have lasted through generations.

2. Alexandria Community Park

Whether you're looking to go for a nice walk, sit by the lake, or let the kids burn off some energy at the playground, Alexandria Community Park offers it all. Dog-friendly, this park is truly fit for the whole family. You can even bring the fishing- rods to try for a catch, or you may find yourself by the baseball field throwing the ball around. Best known for its cleanliness and walking paths, this park is the perfect peaceful escape into nature. Stop by, make some memories, and get away from the craziness of life!

From cakes to donuts and pastries, people come from all over the country to get a taste of Miss Shirley's Bakery. Best known for their cherry turnovers, the friendly staff at Miss Shirley's continues to impress with fresh baked goods. There are a wide variety of donuts, and the staff has even been known to customize pastries for special orders. Word of advice: get there early! An overwhelming amount of locals rave about Miss Shirley's talk about how quickly the favorites go in the morning. Don't miss out, and give it a stop one morning!


4. StoneBrook Winery

Sit back and unwind in the Kentucky hills, and maybe even have a glass of wine while you're at it! At StoneBrook Winery, enjoy magnificent views from a renovated 1890 farmhouse which has been converted into a comfortable wine-tasting room. Fruit, grape, and seasonal wines fill the aroma of the property and permeate throughout the vineyards. There is even an Airbnb on the property if you're looking for a staycation or a place to host guests!

Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Lou Lou's Café at Spare-Time is the best neighborhood spot to grab a bite. Some fan favorites include sweet potato fries, broccoli salad, Everything Omelet, and The Triple Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Tart. Customer service has a reputation for being excellent at Lou Lou's, and there are many regular customers who come back. There is seating both indoors and outside for nice summer days. Definitely a must-try!

With an expansive selection of board games and food, you are sure to find something to eat and play that appeals to you. A customer favorite is their homemade jam. 7. Slice Is Right Pizzeria

Known for its New York-style pizza by the slice, this Northern Kentucky-based food truck is the perfect lunch spot. Don't be fooled by sale by the slice, these pieces are big, thin, foldable slices that are sure to fill you up. The crispy crust makes the perfect base for whatever toppings you may please. Their beer recipes are rooted in traditional methods and brewing practices with heavy attention to detail to ensure a quality taste. Their head brewer is even a graduate of the oldest brewing school in the U.S., known as the prestigious Siebel Institute of Technology. 9. Four Mile Pig

This locally-owned barbecue restaurant is most definitely a community favorite. Whether you try the brisket, seasoned fries, or their iconic Brussels sprouts, you can't go wrong at The Four Mile Pig. They even have their own homemade spice rub and barbecue sauce! Did we mention the friendly staff?
