Halloween always provides the perfect kickoff to fall fun! Here is a list of fall activities to enjoy before winter settles in:

1. Pick Out and Carve Pumpkins 

Picking out a pumpkin for your front porch is serious business, so it is important to visit the best patches out there. A lot of pumpkin patches feature fun activities such as corn mazes, playgrounds, and petting zoos. Pumpkins are a must-have to really set you up for a festive fall season!

2. Visit an Apple Orchard 

One of the best parts of fall is all of the delicious apple treats that come with it. Apple cider, cinnamon apple donuts, caramel apples, and all kinds of festive treats! Apple picking is the perfect way to get outside for some fresh fall air and also provide a trendy, fall photo op!

3. Have a Day at the Zoo

Before the weather starts to get too cold, take a visit to your local zoo! Many zoos offer trick-or-treating at their facilities as a fun weekend activity leading up to Halloween! So put on your costumes and hit the "Boo" at the Zoo! 

4. Get Spooked at a Haunted House

In all of our regions, there are plenty of opportunities to get spooked! These activities can range from haunted houses, museum exhibits, amusement park haunts, haunted hayrides, and other scary options if that is how you like to celebrate your Halloween season! 

5. Go Trick-or-Treating in Your Fischer Homes Community

Check your local government website to see when your city will be having Trick-or-Treat! Make sure that you aren't missing out on any community events by checking with your Homeowners Association. 

G-Host a Halloween Get together

We understand that having space for party meal prepping and the ideal walk-up buffet for guests to grab treats and socialize is crucial. Featured a photo from our floorplan, the Wyatt, from our Designer Collection of homes which boasts a large kitchen island perfect for additional seating.  We also offer recreation rooms or basements in many of our floorplans which provides the perfect location for a wet bar to make some BOO-zy beverages! Here are some SPOOKY treats and beverages that you will need for your Halloween extravaganza: 

1. Mummy Dogs 

A Halloween take on a classic party snack, pigs in a blanket. Take pre-made crescent roll dough, cut it into rectangles and create small sections going vertically, then wrap the smaller pieces around a hot dog with separation to create the bandages effect. Bake and serve with ketchup or a condiment of your choice. 'Bone' Appetit!

2. Graveyard Dirt Cups 

Make pudding and top with Oreos, gummy worms, or gummy bones for a classic, Halloween take on traditional dirt and worms. 

3. Purple People Eater Cocktail 

Combine vodka, blue curacao syrup, cranberry juice, sweet and sour mix, and a tiny dash of grenadine to end up with this hauntingly purple drink perfect for any adult gathering!

4. Mad Scientist Potion Punch 

Combine 2 liters of Sprite, 1 large can of pineapple juice, and a large package of green gelatin. To make it look even spookier add a little dry ice to create a fog effect. To make this a boo-zy beverage added 10 oz of white rum!
