Last week, Fischer Homes celebrated the 2022 Ground Breaking event for this year's St. Jude Dream Home located in O'Fallon, Missouri at the community of the Streets of Caledonia.
Construction for this year’s home, the Charles Modern Farmhouse, is underway after the exciting ground-breaking event that took place last week, February 10, 2022. The Fischer Homes team along with the Mayor of O'Fallon, gathered around the future site for the 2022 St. Jude Dream Home in excitement to start the dig for this year's building process! Following the groundbreaking ceremony was the Bricks and Sticks event where trade partners and vendors assembled together at the Fischer Homes, Avery Model located in the stunning Inverness community of O'Fallon, Missouri.
The Bricks and Sticks event kicked off with an exclusive presentation showcasing the importance of Dream Home for the St. Jude organization. Trade partners and vendors were highlighted, showcasing their previous collaborations and donations from past years that have truly helped make this amazing cause possible. Following the presentation, guests had the option to provide their match for this year's donation in products that help the home come alive from the ground up! Examples of donations include flooring, painting materials, siding, framing materials, and more!
Without the help of our amazing trade partners and vendors' donations, we would not be able to continue this amazing tradition. This will be the 9th St. Jude Dream Home in the St. Louis market that Fischer Homes will build. In total, Fischer Homes has built 16 St. Jude Dream Homes for ALSAC - the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
This year's St. Jude Dream Home is located within the exclusive community of Streets of Caledonia in O'Fallon, Missouri. This amazing community showcases future amenities which include 25 acres of open space featuring fountained lakes, walking trails with benches and gazebos, a neighborhood pool with clubhouse, covered pavilions, playground, dedicated bocce ball area, and pickleball court truly making this the perfect location for all!
The tickets for the Dream Home will be available for purchase on June 9, and all proceeds will go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The home is currently valued at $565,000 and will be given away to the winner on August 18, 2022. Over $24 million has been raised for St. Jude across past campaign efforts. All proceeds go directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, helping to make sure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food.
