Here, you’ll work one-on-one with our expert Design Consultants to make your personal selections. From high-performing products and beautiful finishes to details that reflect your style and how you live, every choice is yours. This is your opportunity to invest in the look, feel, and function of your new home, creating a space that’s uniquely yours from the inside out.
Before Your Appointment
Before your appointment, you’ll receive an email outlining all of Fischer Homes’ design options so you can get a clear picture of how to create your dream home. Not sure exactly what you want? That's what our designers are here for. Looking at our website and Pinterest is a great way to get inspiration before your appointment to see what selections go together. You can also check out our Instagram and Tiktok for some current design trends to consider.
We also recommend that you go through your budget before your appointment. While your contract covers the base price of your home, some choices may come with additional costs. Having a realistic idea of your budget ahead of time helps make the process smooth and stress-free. Now get ready - the fun part is about to begin!
Appointment Day
On the day of your appointment, you will arrive at your local Fischer Homes Design Studio and start by meeting your Design Consultant. Each Design Consultant is an expert on our floorplans and up-to-date on the latest design trends, ensuring your experience is smooth and enjoyable.
Your appointment starts with selecting your home's exterior options, making sure your home will have some serious curb appeal. This includes paint color, brick choices, roof and door color, and other exterior details. Some choices can feel tricky, but your Design Consultant will guide you every step of the way, even pulling up examples and color pairings to help you make confident decisions.
Moving inside, your Design Consultant will guide you through selecting the foundational elements for your home like flooring, paint, and lighting that set the tone for the entire space. Once these are selected, you'll move room by room to add the special touches that matter most to you.
One of the most exciting rooms to design is the kitchen! This is where you can truly make your mark with a wide range of personalization choices, from countertops, hardware, and faucets to cabinet finishes. Want a sleek, modern look with granite countertops? This is the moment to choose it. You’ll also select details for bedrooms and bathrooms, ensuring every space reflects your style and feels uniquely yours.
Once your selections are finalized, your Design Consultant will gather the samples and present them together so you can see how every choice works in harmony throughout your home. This final review gives you the chance to confirm that everything feels just right. Your Design Consultant will be there to guide and support you through any adjustments, ensuring every detail comes together to create the dream home you’ve envisioned.
Moving Forward
After your appointment, your Designer will process your selections and coordinate all the final details to bring your vision to life. With your design choices complete, you can officially check “designing your dream home” off the list! Now it’s in the hands of our incredible team to build your dream home.
