Picture this! You have just signed your contract to build your brand new dream home with Fischer Homes. Your homesite and floorplan have already been selected along with your structural add-ons through the process with your Sales Counselor. You ask yourself, "What's next?"

Building with Fischer Homes provides a variety of individualized experiences throughout your homebuilding journey. One of those being the opportunity to spend the day with us at our Lifestyle Design Center, where your vision for your dream home will come to life!

Before Your Appointment

Before your appointment, you will be sent an email to go over all of Fischer Homes' design options to get a true idea of how you can design your new dream home. However, if you don't know exactly what you are wanting, this is okay too! That's what our designers are here for. Looking at our website and Pinterest is a great way to get inspiration before your appointment to see what selections go together. We also feature a variety of floorplans on our Instagram and Tiktok, which provide current design trends for you to take into consideration. 

We also recommend that you go through your budget before you come in for your appointment with your designer. When signing your contract, you are agreeing to the base price of the home, some selections will come with an additional cost, so having a realistic idea of what you are wanting to spend will allow this process to be stress-free for everyone involved. Get excited, here comes the fun part! 

Appointment Day

On the day of your appointment, you will arrive at your local Fischer Homes Lifestyle Design Center. The process will start with getting to know your Designer. Each Designer is well-versed on all floorplans, as well as current design trends that will elevate your space. This will ensure that the process will go smoothly and won't be overwhelming for the party involved. 

The design appointment will begin with picking out the exterior options to give your new dream home the ultimate curb appeal. These selections include picking the paint colors, brick options, roof color, door color, and anything else that goes with the exterior part of the home. These selections can be tricky, so your Designer can pull up our website with examples of color pairings as suggestions to assist in the process. 

Moving on to the interior, your Designer will walk you through the process of picking out the flooring, paint colors, and lighting options that will go with the base of the home. Once these are picked out, you will tackle each individualized room option to ensure that you receive the special touches that are important to you.

One of the most exciting rooms to #defineyourdesign is the kitchen! We provide a variety of personalization options to elevate the space. These can range from countertop options, hardware, and faucets to cabinet space and color. All of this is within your control, if you are wanting a modern look with granite countertops, this is when you can pick out those selections. They will also have you pick out options for the bedrooms and bathrooms to ensure that every space is up to your liking. 

Once you have finalized your initial handpicked selections for your new home, your Designer will take the samples and show you all of them put together for the overall cohesion in the home. This will allow you to double-check that these selections are exactly what you are wanting. Your Designer will continue to support you throughout this process as you make changes to end up with your dream home.

Moving Forward 

Following the completion of your meeting, your Designer will process your requests and coordinate all of the final details. You have now finalized the process of designing your new dream home! Take a deep breath, now it is up to our incredible team to build your Fischer Homes. Congratulations, the hard part now is waiting for the keys!
