However, with all this space there are a lot of ways that it can go awry without proper tips for organization. That's why we want to provide you with all the tips and tricks to get the most out of your beautiful Fischer Homes kitchen!

1. Utilize Drawer Organizers

A variety of Fischer Homes floorplans offer a pocket office right off the kitchen, providing more office space which is more applicable now than ever. However, as we all know office supplies and random things always make their way into a junk drawer in the kitchen. One of the best ways you can prevent random pens, screwdrivers, batteries, and thumbtacks from ending up in your kitchen drawers is by utilizing drawer organizers. If your home offers a pocket office, pick a drawer that will be your go-to for random things that you will need and create a system. Office supplies in one section, home improvement in another, and electronic items in another. This will create organization even in a junk drawer, where you know where everything is. Organizers are also great for kitchen drawers as well as it allows you to arrange your Tupperware, Ziploc, aluminum foil, Saran Wrap, and other various kitchen necessities for easy access. Creating a system will allow you to function stress-free in your kitchen.

2. Give Your Cabinets Some TLC

With Fischer Homes, we offer kitchen amenities like multi-height cabinetry which provide a lot of versatile space for you to utilize. However, is your kitchen space organized for maximum efficiency? We know that nothing is more frustrating than when you are cooking a fabulous dinner on your beautiful stainless steel appliances, and you can't find a particular spice that will make or break your dish. You spend 10 minutes digging around in your spice drawer or cabinet, sifting through the cumin, paprika, and dried basil, but your needed spice is nowhere to be found. This not only can delay dinner but it can become a mess. This is why we recommend getting a spice stacking system. This will allow you to see all of the labels on your spices, and if you are feeling fancy you can even organize them alphabetically. Never again will dinner be delayed because of the disorganized spice cabinet!  The next thing that we recommend is getting a Lazy Susan. This will allow you easy access to quickly navigate through your food and household items such as baking necessities, sauces, oils, or whatever you decide to put on it. The implementation of this makes it easier to find what you are looking for and creates a clean and organized appearance.

3. Organize Your Pantry with Various Storage Containers

For your pantry, you'll want to have various storage containers for different things, not only to make it super organized but also to add to the overall aesthetic of the kitchen. Fischer Homes offers walk-in pantries for most of our floorplans, which include shelving.  Here's some tips on how to best utilize this space! No one said your pantry has to be a disorganized mess. For chips and snacks, we recommend putting them in wire or clear bins, which allows you to see exactly what's in there. For cereal, we recommend utilizing clear airtight containers that allow you to see exactly how much you have and keep it fresh longer. Cereal boxes take up a lot of extra room and using  these containers will offer a polished look. For canned goods, we recommend purchasing a can dispenser, which allows you to grab the cans as you need them. It keeps them all in one spot and makes it easy to group together canned items that you might have multiple of.

4. Keep Your Countertops Clear 

One of the benefits of having multi-height cabinetry is the ability to store appliances, utensils, baking containers, and other kitchen supplies that can take up counter space and cause your beautiful kitchen to look cluttered. We recommend placing the air fryer, the toaster, and other miscellaneous things within the drawers/cabinets and keeping the counters clear with minimal decoration. However, on the island, we recommend displaying flowers, fruit, a variety of trail mixes, and nuts. Use artificial food and flowers if you are unable to keep these items fresh. Clean your countertops regularly for a sparkly clean look. These small changes will add up long term and will allow your kitchen to appear more organized and orderly. 

5. Keep Everything Smelling Clean 

A lot happens in a kitchen, and sometimes we forget about that avocado that's been sitting on the counter for weeks or the milk that went bad. Life happens, but part of the kitchen organization is trying to keep on top of it. Maintaining a regular cleaning schedule for your household will help you keep control of the kitchen. When your garbage disposal starts to smell, use a garbage disposal cleaner. Utilize a smell that is light and refreshing for countertop cleaning and dishes so that it isn't too overpowering. Finally, make sure you run your dishwasher regularly.
